It was supposed to be three months

I last wrote here a year ago. I wrote how I was nervous and anxious. At the time of writing I was sure that I would be kicking off this entire endeavour before June. We are now one year on and there is still nothing to show. Well, the days of waiting are numbered. I’ve got the first series “the Rise of Bread” done and will start uploading from Thursday 28 January 2023. 4 years after I hatched the idea for all of this.

I’ve been working on it! See?!

What took so long? Well, I had to learn. I knew how to film and edit but I had to learn to make a workflow. How to schedule in research, writing, filming, editing and post. This took me exactly one year. From one year the time it took me to edit and record VO for one of my videos (roughly around fifteen minutes each) went from five days down to two. What was weird for me was how this entire process was autodidactic. Of course I used loads of YouTube and other online tutorials but there was nobody who designed the program for me. Don’t get me wrong I am still a big fan of formal education but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by how well self made education can turn out.

Anyway, enough boasting about my newfound skills. If you’re reading this after my videos started going up - what are you doing here? Go to the front page and take a look! They’re fun, I worked on them for at least a year! However, if you’re here before they started going up. Thank you for being here and patiently waiting as I slogged my way though this career change. Hope you’ll like them.
